Coming up with a company name is a pain! Especially since most domain names are taken. Irrespective of that, surprisingly, we had quite a list. After a lot of in-house voting, we were stuck on a few names. Even after spending so much time, we were not sure which one to pick. So we started thinking what exactly did we want the name to signify.

We wanted something very Indian, connecting to our roots, one that conveys our thoughts. And voila! Hindu mythology was our unanimous decision.
We went through the list and picked Pinaka Interactive. The deeper meanings of the name worked well with our vision.
Pinaka is the mighty bow of Lord Shiva. Lord Ram has always been imagined and seen with bow and arrows. But we wanted something out of the ordinary. Hence we chose Lord Shiva’s bow. He also happens to be our favourite God. Keeping the spiritual beliefs aside, the whole idea of Lord Shiva, (even as a fantasy character) appealed to us.
A complete contrast of the other Gods who are much more, if one may say, sophisticated. It seemed as if Lord Shiva was more accessible or acceptable as a human. He could easily make a connection. Similarly, we want to connect more closely with our work, with our clients as well as our end users.
No, we don’t have a posh office or great systems to work with. We have the brains, the ideas and the capability. And someday we will have everything.
Pinaka, the bow (and thus us; the Pinakis), defines strength and power. It comes as a surprise to many people that Lord Shiva wielded a bow. People have always seen him with the trident. We are a similar entity yet to unfold in its full capacity.
Lord Shiva is the Lord of Destruction. Creation can continue to happen only after destruction takes place. We try and destroy every bad idea to give way to a better one. The process of destruction is not spontaneous. We learn during the process and we continue to learn and will always keep learning.
